There will be cut in water supply in some parts of Accra from today, Tuesday, June 23, 2020, as the Ghana Water Company Limited closes down its water treatment plant at the Weija Headworks for fix works.
An announcement from the organization on Monday said the shutdown is to empower its engineers to take a shot at the crude water pipeline.
It will likewise cost Accra West Region the chance to do repairs and maintainace at flawed valves on the main transmission lines.
This activity will therefore affect water in Weija, Mallam Junction, Gbawe, Anyaa, Awoshie, Dansoman, Sakaman, Kaneshie, Lapaz, Nii Boi Town, Achimota and encompassing territories.
No cutoff time has been given for the fruition of the support work.
Ghana Water Company asked its customers to store more water for future use.
As per the Ghana Water Company, “water supply will continue when they are finished.
“The inconvenience this may cause is deeply regretted,” the statement said.
